Terms and data processing

Effective November 7, 2026. These terms are between Steelyard Ventures LLC ("we") and the merchant who installs Starter Pack Suite ("you"). By installing the app you agree to them.

The service

Starter Pack Suite adds quantity breaks, cart rewards, personalization, product reviews, wishlists, back-in-stock and pre-order, checkout rules, and invoices and packing slips to your Shopify store. Plans and charges are billed by Shopify on your Shopify bill. You can uninstall at any time.

Data processing

Roles. For personal data of your customers and visitors, you are the controller and we are your processor. We process it only to provide the app's features to you, as described in our privacy policy.
Data. Order names and addresses (read from Shopify to create documents, not stored), product reviews (name and email), and back-in-stock requests (email).
Sub-processors. Fly.io (hosting, United States), an email delivery provider (back-in-stock emails), and Shopify. We will tell you before adding another.
Security. Encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (encrypted storage and encrypted backups), access limited to our authorized operators, request logging, and secrets kept out of code.
Requests. We act on customer data requests and deletion requests that Shopify forwards to us, and help you answer requests you receive.
Deletion. When you uninstall, Shopify asks us 48 hours later to delete your store's data, and we delete it then.
Incidents. If a security incident affects your data, we notify you and Shopify without undue delay, and within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, with what we know and what we are doing about it.
Confidentiality. We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or disclose it except to the sub-processors above or where the law requires.

Limits

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the three months before a claim.
